In 2011, as a member of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), I identified a crucial need to modernize the convoluted training application process. The process involved manual paperwork, resulting in extended application periods and substantial back-and-forth communication. The challenge was clear: YWAM needed a streamlined and modernized application system.

🎨 Design Process

  • Wireframes: Outlined the website’s information architecture for effective information conveyance.
  • User-Flows: Crafted user-flows for three training program categories, optimizing the application journey.
  • High-Fidelity Design: Transformed wireframes into visually consistent designs, establishing a new logo and design assets.
  • Key Considerations: Maintained consistency with YWAM’s branding, ensured a user-friendly experience, and streamlined the application process.
  • Redesigned Application Process for the Web: Users need to download a PDF, print it, and submit it through mail. With the new process we streamlined the application, and broke it down into 4 easy steps, which contributed for a higher number of applicants.
A new “Training” page introduced prospective volunteers to all the training options based on the level. The page also worked as a planer for future paths.
